deep, dark night was the goal for winter’s night and this result is so stunning. this colorway is a blended midtoned ice blue, deep navy, pure black, deep steel grey, deep slate blue. the midtone blue gives just small highlights of light in this dark and moody color, making it so dimensional and even more beautiful. light and depth are hard to play with in small spaces, like a single skein of yarn, but when done correctly this can fully elevate a colorway. it is perfected with a pure black and navy speckle!

this colorway is dyed in short color repeats with the speckles leaning toward the darker repeats so they don’t stand out too much, making this an excellent colorway for garments and projects of all kinds!

foundational info~

my colorways are always very consistent in tone, as each dye pigment is measured to the microgram, for accurate repeatability. my speckle placements are never random, and each skein is speckled carefully in certain placements for even distribution. speckles work like assigned pooling if you’re not careful with placements~ my colorways are designed for even speckle distribution.

about the photos~ my photos are not edited, they are taken under daylight mimicking studio lighting. while monitors can vary slightly, my photos are reliable. i’m so proud to say that out of thousands of skeins that have left my hands, not a single person has told me they didn’t look like the photos. i feel so proud about this!
