vintage pressed flowers was developed from a loving memory with my great grandma. she and granddaddy had so many nancy drew books…too many to count. everyone in the family has read them. i was the first great grandkid, and when it was my turn to start reading them…to my surprise, pressed peonies fell from one as it opened. grandma was right next to me and she lit up with joy, just as I did. she was so surprised to see them and recalled that she had put them there years and years ago. we had such a nice laugh. i can still remember the smell of those old books. i miss her.

foundational info~

my colorways are always very consistent in tone, as each dye pigment is measured to the microgram, for accurate repeatability. my speckle placements are never random, and each skein is speckled carefully in certain placements for even distribution. speckles work like assigned pooling if you’re not careful with placements~ my colorways are designed for even speckle distribution.

about the photos~ my photos are not edited, they are taken under daylight mimicking studio lighting. while monitors can vary slightly, my photos are reliable. i’m so proud to say that out of thousands of skeins that have left my hands, not a single person has told me they didn’t look like the photos. i feel so proud about this!
