advent is here!! my best and most unforgettable yarn event of the year! welcome to the weekend advent listing. READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION PLEASE and then choose your base in the menu! see base info page for more about the specs of each yarn base. yes it’s a lot to read but it’s all valuable info! 🌈

🌈the rainbow symphony weekend advent is based on my original painting in the photo! the painting is a bit lighter as it’s glitter watercolor. daily and weekend advents are different fades- the weekends version will focus on the deepest, moodiest colors of the painting, with the mini paired with the last skein being a fun contrast to the 5 skein fade! every skein is highly skill intense and very layered or speckled, or both! they create a wonderfully cohesive 5 skein fade that is destined to bring you so much joy every weekend you open it and each and every time you wear your finished piece! or string them together and hang it on your wall as decoration (i did this with my advents when they weren’t in use and loved seeing the color and inspiration every day!)

🌈my advents are all about the experience. they are carefully curated to give you the best time and create an even more wonderful making experience. the yarn is individually wrapped and packaged beautifully with a handwritten letter about my creating experience and inspirations, a care card, a project bag with my original artwork printed on it, and a set of handmade markers, made by me! i will likely be opening the daily version and knitting with it over on youtube for vlogmas this year! we can knit along together! 🌈🌈🌈

🌈if you’re deciding between the daily and weekend version- my personal favorite will always be the daily, and you can read why on that listing- but weekends is an excellent choice for a more simplistic but enjoyable experience- it’s less costly, but also less yardage, usually a bit simpler to fade as there’s less skeins to fade, and creates a project that is gorgeous and more similar in tone than the daily, which is preferred for some people. 5 skeins is less room for color when considering the fabric must look great (there is a such thing as “too much” when there’s just 5 skeins involved, in consideration to how all of that color works up- too much= very muddy fabric) and this will create a piece that feels very wearable and since the colorways are all highly skilled and layered/speckled/both, they’ll be very enjoyable throughout the entire making process. 

🌈for the weekend advent- you’ll unwrap a beautiful full sized skein in the base of your choice every weekend in december, and then…on christmas day…a beautiful full skein that completes the fade with a mini that makes a fun contrast and ties the whole advent together! you’ll find your handmade marker set carefully wrapped as well, and your project bag with my original art folded neatly and wrapped- as well! 

🌈fluff add ons/rainbow symphony cardigan pattern- cardigan pattern (more below) uses fingering/fluff held together to make a DK ish gauge- the garment benefits from a lighter fabric like fingering/fluff so i do not recommend plush dk for the same aesthetic. plush dk would also be half the yardage, as it is a thicker yarn, and would not be enough for the cardigan. my cardigan sample uses shimmering iridescence minis and classic mohair silk fluff add on. either advent provides enough yardage for all sizes of the pattern. shimmering iridescence is available in full sized skeins!! 

IMPORTANT: although both fluff add ons are the same price, please only add the corresponding fluff to your advent. daily advents can get daily fluff, weekends advent can get weekends fluff, if you order both you may get both! this is necessary because i am aware advent is an investment- i do not make any profit off of the fluff add on and if you order the fluff add on that doesn’t match your advent, i would be paying you to have that add on. advent minis are 1/5 of the yardage/weight of full 100g skeins. fluff “minis” are actually nearly half skeins and are priced as half skeins from the supplier. i’m doing my best to offer this option and keep it more affordable- you will have oodles of leftover yardage from fluff i’m sure, but hey, the more the merrier lol

rainbow symphony cardigan pattern is in the works- a loose description: it is a top down, wide v-neck with all over fluffy texture that fades! it offers slight tapering or blousing at the waste (depending on your preference!) with an oversized fit in the body and sleeves. the sleeves are structured balloon sleeves with a detailed cuff. it is designed to look and feel beautiful on all body types! (i have four years of study, 1500 intern hours, and a degree in personal styling/body types/color seasons/color theory/chemistry regarding natural fiber/ and cosmetology. you’re in good hands here. 💜)

IMPORTANT: the pattern has no deadline for me as the designer as pattern design is a hobby only for me. the pattern is not a part of the advent, or included in the pricing structure- it will be free for all advent participants when it is ready. it will fit up to a 60” bust and the upper sizes will have enough yardage in fingering weights/fluff for either advent. i have a goal to have a test knit after tech editing by late fall/early winter, and a public release in spring. these are goals, and not hard deadlines. the test pattern will be refined and as ready for publish as possible thanks to professional tech editing- and any advent participants are welcome to join the test with no expectations or testing deadlines at all! just an early start if you want one! it is important to me to reach these goals, but there’s also flexibility for me.

🌈all advents ship in october for international customers and in november for US customers. if you want yours when it’s ready, just let me know in the cart notes! i cannot say how much sooner that would be, but if it’s ready early i’m happy to send it out! cart notes are found when you click your cart- it should say “add note”. advents are large shipments so unfortunately i cannot afford free shipping for these, US is $15 to ship, international is $40. read my duties refund FAQ! 

🌈please only add advent or fluff add on to your cart! if you’d like to order something from instock or the SQ library, please do so separately. 

🌈i do take installments through shopify! this is powered by affirm and offers you lots of flexibility and choice. the most common option is 4 biweekly payments with no interest and no effect to your credit score! there are other options as well for longer terms, but they may have interest or need to pull credit. 

🌈all base info is in the yarn bases page with the yardages for advent specifically in the menu you’ll choose from, EXCEPT shimmering iridescence because it’s brand spankin new!! i’ve waited for it for months!! so exciting!! it’s just like shimmering gold fingering, except the sparkle is a bit more (shim gold is 5%, this one is 10% stellina) and rainbow iridescent instead of gold! it shimmers all rainbow colors! perfect for this advent! it is a 2 ply yarn with a high twist, 75% fine superwash merino, 10% rainbow iridescent stellina, 15% recycled nylon!
