past midnight is the first color in the winter’s night collection, and is the most tedious to create. i pictured the depths of the sky as the aurora fades into the dark night. this colorway is just brilliant. it features flowing deep teals, bright aurora greens, deep navy, dark steely blues, and dark sky colors that blend with ease. It is topped off pretty heavy on the speckles in shades of peacock teal, steel grey blue, and deep navy - to mimic the stars. since the colorway itself is so deep, they appear subtle but add so much value. you’ll be very pleased at how they enhance this colorway as you’re creating with it.

this colorway takes over 14 hours to layer and speckle~ this is reflected in the small price increase. the colors blend seamlessly and are dyed in short color repeats for a very cohesive fabric.

my colorways are always very consistent in tone, as each dye pigment is measured to the microgram, for accurate repeatability. my speckle placements are never random, and each skein is speckled carefully in certain placements for even distribution. speckles work like assigned pooling if you’re not careful with placements~ my colorways are designed for even speckle distribution.

about the photos~ my photos are not edited, they are taken under daylight mimicking studio lighting. while monitors can vary slightly, my photos are reliable. i’m so proud to say that out of thousands of skeins that have left my hands, not a single person has told me they didn’t look like the photos. i feel so proud about this!
