look at this pretty glow!! i was inspired by how i imagine shooting stars over the aurora would appear, all with a snow-kissed background. northern moonbeam is a pale bright aqua and spearmint glow of color, variegated with small repeats of bright white, mimicking the snow. this colorway features a subtle golden speckle, inspired by the stars! and a subtle aqua speckle, making the skein cohesive within itself since gold is in a different color family.
this skein and its speckles really complement one another, which was a very challenging part of this advent. I was adamant to fit gold in this color story. i love gold, I use it often…it was important for me to use it without it overwhelming the palette. this is how I achieved this and it worked wonderfully! this colorway is pale and pastel overall, and is variegated but the aquas and teals show up more than the white. with speckles here and there to give some extra visual interest to your projects! 🤍

foundational info~

my colorways are always very consistent in tone, as each dye pigment is measured to the microgram, for accurate repeatability. my speckle placements are never random, and each skein is speckled carefully in certain placements for even distribution. speckles work like assigned pooling if you’re not careful with placements~ my colorways are designed for even speckle distribution.

about the photos~ my photos are not edited, they are taken under daylight mimicking studio lighting. while monitors can vary slightly, my photos are reliable. i’m so proud to say that out of thousands of skeins that have left my hands, not a single person has told me they didn’t look like the photos. i feel so proud about this!
