I’ve knit this one twice now and it is a wonderful pattern that has been tech edited and tested. Delightfully spacious and cozy, it’s got a timeless look to it and is easy and fun to knit! It is a common misunderstanding that held together patterns cost double- fingering/lace held together makes close to a DK weight fiber/gauge for the pattern (21sts) - DK is 231 yds/fingering is 400-460yds on average. The yardage for the 2 skeins of fingering/fluff to hold double would be the same as 2 skeins of DK, so the cost is actually the same/very similar if you were holding a single strand of yarn that made gauge…and you get that gorgeous luxurious halo that also acts as a protective layer from wear. I always choose held double because my garments look brand new even years later.
