ice crystal is the 6th colorway in the winter’s night advent and collection. The entire collection’s development started with this colorway. I had an idea of what I wanted to see in this fade, but all of the tones were less clear- except this one. i knew I wanted to see a clear frozen blue skein in this collection- one that is reminiscent of a frozen lake to ice skate on. i started with the design and development of this clear blue skein- and built the rest off of this one! ice crystal is a midtoned ice blue- dyed in different intensities within the skein- some pastel pale blue, clear frozen blue, and deeper chilling tones in the same family. all perfected with a flurry of crystal blue speckles! ❄️❄️❄️

foundational info~

my colorways are always very consistent in tone, as each dye pigment is measured to the microgram, for accurate repeatability. my speckle placements are never random, and each skein is speckled carefully in certain placements for even distribution. speckles work like assigned pooling if you’re not careful with placements~ my colorways are designed for even speckle distribution.

about the photos~ my photos are not edited, they are taken under daylight mimicking studio lighting. while monitors can vary slightly, my photos are reliable. i’m so proud to say that out of thousands of skeins that have left my hands, not a single person has told me they didn’t look like the photos. i feel so proud about this!
