peaceful yet vibrant borealis transitions smoothly from the first colorway of winter’s night, past midnight. this colorway is lighter and has a unique glow about it, the vibrant aquas and spearmint tones mimic the aurora lit sky. borealis is midtoned, and the colors are more distinguishable, whereas past midnight is purely deep. borealis also is heavily speckled, some dusty navy and steely blue specks, but mostly bright teal and aqua! this colorway has so much visual interest and lots of dimension, perfect for stockinette to show the colors off, or subtle textures. i love its vibrance and flowing color…so much joy and calm in this colorway! it is dyed using short repeats, for cohesive fabric, followed by a glazing technique to further blend the underlying color and give it that special teal/aqua glow, with a heavy speckle to mimic the night sky! it’s just perfect! 🩵🩵🩵

my colorways are always very consistent in tone, as each dye pigment is measured to the microgram, for accurate repeatability. my speckle placements are never random, and each skein is speckled carefully in certain placements for even distribution. speckles work like assigned pooling if you’re not careful with placements~ my colorways are designed for even speckle distribution.

about the photos~ my photos are not edited, they are taken under daylight mimicking studio lighting. while monitors can vary slightly, my photos are reliable. i’m so proud to say that out of thousands of skeins that have left my hands, not a single person has told me they didn’t look like the photos. i feel so proud about this!
